Location

The school is situated in a beautiful leafy lane, a 15 + minute walk from Kitzbühel town centre, with spectacular views of the mountains on all sides. It is well connected with Munichs, Innsbrucks and Salzburgs airports (there are regular taxibusses direct to your accommodation). Good standard accommodation is available in nearby friendly pensions. No commuting!!! Kitzbühel is a beautiful, medieval town with famous après ski bars and restaurants, which offer a unique atmosphere all year round. It has all the nightlife and shopping advantages of a city, with none of the disadvantages of traffic, pollution or street crime.

Activities

1. WITH A TEACHER:

Our daily freetime programme accompanied by a teacher is very popular with our students and an important part of the total immersion process, in addition to the morning lessons. You learn German while you ski, chatting to the teacher and to other students and while you hike, or take a coffe or a beer break. We have no difficulty offering a varied freetime programme in this area of outstanding natural beauty: skiing/snowboarding from the end of November until the first week of May, and hiking, swimming, mountain biking, cultural exkursions from May to November. In addition, there are evening lessons twice a week, and social German can be improved during our evening social programmes which take place three times a week.

Whether we spend the time sunbathing or swimming in the natural lake and enjoying the beautiful views, or getting fit hiking up the Hahnenkamm mountain or drinking coffee on a terrace in the pedestrian area of the picturesque town centre, you can`t help enjoying Kitzbühel. To skiers it needs no introduction: the World Cup downhill race, slalom and super G take place here every January, and the 250 km of skiing are both a challenge and a pleasure. Golf and tennis tournaments round off the international attractions.

2. WITHOUT A TEACHER:

there is plenty to do outside of the organised freetime programme. Skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, tennis, golf (4 courses), mountain biking, horse riding, paragliding, squash, concerts, museums, bars, terraces, night clubs, casino, cinema etc.

Excursions:

Kitzbühel is about an hour by car from Salzburg and Innsbruck and about 90 minutes from Munich. From May to November we make weekly trips to one of these towns to enjoy the galleries, museums and exhibitions there, and to see and enjoy the towns themselves.
